Chiropractic manipulation, commonly referred to as an "adjustment", is the practice of manually or instrumentally restoring movement to a restricted region of the spine or extremity. Not only can an adjustment help with restoring movement, but it has also been shown to relieve pain and improve function.

Why Chiropractic care?

Patients who seek out chiropractic care do so for a variety of reasons. From back and sciatic pain, to neck pain and headaches, Chiropractic has growing evidence of efficacy for a wide range of common conditions.  The World Health Organization identifies Chiropractic management as a preferred primary pain management option for common musculoskeletal pain conditions.

By manipulating the spine and correcting issues with posture, balance, stabilization, and proprioception, Chiropractors can help reduce joint pain and stiffness, and improve function of the surrounding tissue.

WELLNESS CARE FOR LASTING RELIEF

Because chiropractic care is non-invasive, it is seen as a preferred alternative to medication, injections and/or surgery. For many, it can help patients find solace from their joint and muscle pain, and enable them to do the things the love to do.

At Chiropractic Associates of the Lehigh Valley our chiropractic team is ready to meet with you to discuss your needs. We will help to design a program that is right for you. We look forward to meeting you.

TRAINING OF A CHIROPRACTOR

Chiropractic doctors go through a minimum of four years of schooling at a chiropractic college, generally preceded by an undergraduate degree in the basic sciences or several years of experience in a prior relevant health care field.

Students of chiropractic care must spend a minimum of at least 4,200 hours with their teacher, and a minimum of 1,000 hours of fully supervised clinical training with an instructor as they learn the appropriate diagnosis and treatment techniques to help heal your body and restore it to its natural, fully functioning state.
